MYSTERIOUS bright lights in the Mildenhall sky, which residents thought could be UFOs, have been identified as Chinese lanterns.
The eerie spectacle was spotted by Jane and Nigel Brickett, of Raven Close, Barton Mills, who sent the Journal photos of the strange, orbed-shaped objects, in September.
Initially ruling out Chinese lanterns because of the size of the light and the way they moved in the air, Mr and Mrs Brickett were left puzzled.
