A PENSIONER has amazed medics after part of his skull grew back – 50 years after a car crash.
Former postmaster Gordon Moore, 75, from Northumberland, had a metal plate above his eyes and on the top of his skull in a life-saving operation in 1955 when he flipped his car.
And when doctors removed it recently to treat an infection, surgeons were shocked to find the bone had completely regenerated underneath.
