If Bigfoot exists, it's not an ape

If Bigfoot exists in North America, the mythical beast is no mere ancient representative of an ape family that migrated across the Bering land mass with mastodons and ancient man, a primatologist says.

Bigfoot — or Sasquatch or Skunk Ape or Fouke Monster or whatever name you prefer — would have to be a completely new and specific species, Esteban Sarmiento told attendees at the ninth annual Texas Bigfoot Conference on Sept. 26. "If it's real, this animal is exceedingly human-like," Sarmiento said. "It would be our closest relative on earth."

Bigfoot In A Garden?

A gorilla-like creature that resembles the mythical creature Bigfoot is causing excitement on the web after being photographed in the back garden of a home in Kentucky.

The large, hairy beast can be seen in a blurry picture taken on an automatic camera set up by an amateur hunter.

While flicking through images of rabbits and deer, Kenny Mahoney noticed a dark, humanoid creature that does not look like any of the southern US state's known native species.

Bigfoot On Holiday In Poland?

Two teenagers in Poland claim to have captured a Bigfoot on video camera. 19 year old Justyna Folger was being filmed playing around in a river in the Tatra Mountains by her friend when they spotted the creature in the undergrowth.
"At first I thought it was a bear," Justyna said. "But then the creature straightened up on both legs and ran away."
